However some of the temples are given here based on the history and popularity. Tiruppugazh songs have been linked to the temples marked in the Google map by using the information from Kaumaram web site. I had visited Kerala Temples a few times- but was unaware of so many Subhramanya temples there – so missed out having darshan. It was a pleasant surprise to see a large number of Subramanya temples in Kerala (more than 100). I ended up with more than 1000 temples – I am sure that the list would cross 1500 temples if some of the missing information could be ascertained. Then I thought of extending it to include all Sri Murugan temples.Īs I went on marking the temples with the available information and digging for data in Google Maps, the list went on exponentially.
